Prince Edward Island runs the youngest fund in the federation, built up through FilmPEI and a small but committed production community. The rebate structure is simple and the bonuses point in one direction: partner with Island producers and come back.

Base rebate 32% of eligible costs for work completed in PEI

PEI producer bonus 1% for productions by PEI producers, or co-productions where a PEI producer holds at least 25% control

Series bonus 2% for series production completed in PEI

The interprovincial angle

The producer bonus explicitly includes co-productions with 25% Island control, which makes the structure a standing invitation to producers in other provinces: bring a PEI partner into genuine ownership and the province pays for it.
